About us

Bunkyō-ku Aikikai is a dojo where Aikido enthusiasts have been practicing together at public gymnasiums and other facilities in Bunkyō Ward since 1972. Over the years, more than 500 members have trained here, and currently, we have about 120 members.

Aikido has no competitions. People of all ages and genders can participate without focusing on winning or losing.

At our dojo, we tailor training sessions to each member’s experience and physical ability, allowing everyone to enjoy the movement and practice.

At Bunkyō-ku Aikikai, in addition to training Aikido as a martial art, each member sets their own goals—some strive for mental discipline, while others use the practice to improve their health. With these individual goals in mind, we dedicate ourselves to daily training.

Membership Information

At Bunkyō-ku Aikikai, we always welcome those who wish to practice Aikido with us. We encourage you to start by participating in a trial training session.

Trial training is free for the first month. Even if you do not have a martial arts uniform (dogi), you can participate with comfortable sportswears.

If you would like to join a trial session, please fill out the form below.

Additionally, members of other dojos can participate in training by paying a visitor fee of 500 yen per session. If you are interested, please indicate this in the form below.
